It’s time for another pretty awesome KacheeTee Circle event! And this time in honour of International Women’s Day we will be having a candid and open discussion about books - in the company of Pizza and wine.
Many of the things we learn, ideas or perceptions we have come from books and we would love to explore and share in detail some of the most significant books that have had a profound impact in our lives.
You know those books that you read and reflect deeply or think “oh yes!” or “wow, I need to change, start or stop doing this”.
So whether it’s the bestselling Memoir of Michelle Obama, a cook book that changed your life, a fictional book that taught you about love, helped your business or career or clarified feminism to you. Or perhaps the parenting book that solved your baby sleep hassle! Whatever book it is, we want to hear about it.
Each participant will have some time to discuss and share their books and allow others to ask questions. So we’ve allocated a generous time of five hours and capped it at 15 people so it’s an intimate and engaging session.
And because book lovers can never have too many books, we’ve considered a voluntary blind exchange of books. Essentially, each participating attendant comes with a book to exchange. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a new book and could be a decent copy from your collection!
Ticket fee of £20 includes a three course meal with a Pizza or Pasta main and a glass of wine or other drink, because good food is an essential part of #thekacheeteecircle events!
Payments: To pay the exact price, you may do a bank transfer to:
Sort Code: 30 64 42
Account number: 57435968
You can also pay by card but due to card charges, this would be £21.50.
Once you’ve paid, please register using the form below. More details will be communicated to registered attendees.
Finally, and before the event, it would be great if you spend some time thinking about the books that have had a significant impact on you. From parenting to career, feminism to faith - we want to hear it all. Pick one or two of these books and consider the poignant points you will like to share, discuss and have people learn from. We know there are much more books than we can read, so we hope to take so much out of this session even without reading the books! How’s that for a win-win?
If you’re not much of reader and you have no book to discuss you’re still very welcome to come along, meet some new people, learn and have a good time!
I hope you can make it, and let me know if you have any questions.
