East Meets West || How We Met, First Date (+ a 9 Years Later Photo Shoot)

It was 20th November 2007. That's the one date we definitely had our first proper meeting. As we  shared mutual friends, we think we may have come across one another a couple of times before that in the common areas between the Law and Social Science departments of the University of  Ibadan where we both studied. But it was definitely nothing concrete and no no more than a 5-10 minute interaction. The 20th of November was not a special day or anything, I only remember the date because it was three days to my birthday

Our Not-So-Free Freebie Photoshoot Experience (and how to get the best out of Freebies)

Freebies are awesome! Nothing like that feeling when you receive something you like for free or for less! They come in different forms - "Buy 1 get 1 free", "Sign up and get free delivery on your next item", "Win a £200 voucher - just sign up to our Facebook page, "Try Netflix for free for the first month - just enter your bank card details". Many times we are aware that there's a catch. But either the idea of the freebie seems worth the catch or we believe we've totally checked out the T&Cs and it's a true freebie. So we go for it! The latter situation happened on this 'free' photoshoot!

4 Perfectly Do-able Traditions for (Young) Couples

If you're a fan of the TV series, "How I met your mother", (and you should be! Lily and Marshall - played  by Jason Segel and Alyson Hannigan - were pretty much couple goals) you may remember this. Lily and Marshall had this airport pick up tradition since their sophomore year (2nd Year) in college. Whenever either of them came back from a trip, he/she must bring a six pack beer from the destination and the other wears a chauffeur hat to meet him/her at the airport. In one episode they thought the tradition was becoming unnecessary and decided to drop it.

Our Civil Wedding Ceremony and Pre-Wedding Shoot Experience

"I've been married to the same person three times", I said.

That was the only thing I could come up with when at work, we were asked to state quirky facts about ourselves. Of course my Caucasian colleagues had a lot of 'quirky' things to say. These mostly involved some extreme sporting stunts and thrilling hobbies.

Then, there was the one girl who said she had never eaten chicken wings. Just because she found them 'funny' to eat. Thankfully, that day she was made to eat at least three pieces of chicken wings.
